Red Hot Chilli Pipers

Argyll is a nice area from Scotland, including Kintyre and located southwest of Highlands.

George McIntyre played in the Campbeltown pipe band before joining the 8th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in 1938.

He was captured in France (1940) during WWII and taken in Germany as a POW.

He wrote there this beautiful Hills Of Argyll.

He also met some pipers in POW camps and could improve his piping skills even without having a bagpipe or a practice.

His tunes were published in many collections but I have chosen to build my score with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers version.
