PRACTICE CHANTER:
- start with a slow tempo by working in a loop the delicate parts, then gradually increase until the required tempo: this concerns in particular the main technical difficulty located in bars 3 and 4 of part 3 (chain of grips, doublings and G throws)
- each of the parts begins with an anacrousid that is placed just after beat n°2,
- the last two bars of each part are identical: we will gain from working them well (in a loop) to succeed each part endings, in particular by playing a firm and well audible G strike,
- pay attention to the dotted eighth notes,
- give all their value to the pointed quarter notes to stay well in the rhythm,
- this also applies to the simple quarter notes, especially those that precede the taorluaths: do not anticipate the ornament, play a solid quarter note,
- G grace notes and doublings on the beat
- Part. 3 = mark the rhythm "1 -2-3"
bar 3: do not anticipate the taorluath = for this, remember to play a good dotted eighth note.
