LA JUMENT DE MICHAO

It is a traditional tune presented here in the version arranged and popularised by Tri Yann on the excellent album released in 1976, "La Découverte ou l'Ignorance".
Emblematic piece of Celtic music in France, the lyrics can also be found in two traditional songs "J'ai vu le loup, le renard, la belette" and "La Jument de Michaud".
Several variants therefore exist in France and abroad with the theme of the fear of the wolf as a common thread.

The integration into the Breton heritage was made as a song to be counted (from ten to one in this case) typical of the Gallo country.

The wolf, the fox and the weasel also dance to the rhythm of the an dro (Breton round related to the ancient branles) or its Gallo variant, the tour.
