Bringing together most of traditional Scottish culture in a single event may seem utopian: yet this is what the Scottish Highland Games achieve.

They consist of spectacular tests of strength combined with a celebration of Scottish culture:

- sporting events or tests of strength: Caber Toss, Hammer Throw, Stone Put, tug-of-war, etc...
- Scottish culture: pipers, dances, exhibitions, etc...

It is of course in Scotland that the main championship (Cowal Games) takes place in Dunoon (Argyll and Bute) in August of each year.

The Highland Games have conquered other countries for several years, especially France where several clubs are firmly established in Luzarches (95), Bressuire (79), St Michel sur Orge (91), etc...
